Web application for managing the development of employees
The web application Hyperskill enables the management of the personal development of employees through profiles in which BREDEX employees document their project experience and skills. Hyperskill supports with tenders and deployment planning in order to find the right people for customer projects.
Challenge
In the legacy application Superskill, employees can document their skills and project experience. However, the application does not have good usability, so employees do not keep their profiles up to date. This leads to high communication costs in sales. In addition, profile export for sales in post-processing is time-consuming. In terms of technology, it is outdated and there are few ways to modify the source code.

Methods
In the project, interdisciplinary teams were working according to the SCRUM framework. At the beginning of the project, a requirements workshop was held in which the first sketches were developed. On this basis, a low fidelity prototype was developed, with the focus on the basic structure and functionality. In requirements management, an information architecture was created with an overview of the functionalities and a roadmap for project planning.
In the next stage, a high fidelity prototype was built, which serves as a template for front-end development. Hyperskill has developed its own style guide with UI components to ensure consistent UI designs across all BREDEX internal applications. Hyperskill’s usability was tested in three remote usability test series with four to seven users each. Based on the feedback, iterative adjustments were made.
Solution
Hyperskill is a user-friendly and visually appealing web application. The web application offers a clear profile that enables employees to keep their profiles up to date quickly and easily. Regular email notifications remind you of pending profile updates. Profile export has been improved with individual export settings and new templates. Sales can export the latest profiles directly as a Word template for project invitations to tender. Team leaders can track the development of their teams in Hyperskill.
