For the third year running, we have prepared our voluntary sustainability report in accordance with the German Sustainability Code (DNK) and submitted it to the German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE). This report has now been approved and published.

What Is the DNK?

The DNK is an international reporting standard for sustainability aspects that was adopted by the RNE in 2011. Its aim is to promote the concept of sustainability in business. The RNE considers the disclosure of conflicting goals and obstacles to be particularly credible, rather than overly polished perfection. The Sustainability Council is committed to ensuring that organizations provide transparent and comparable reporting.

The 4 Aspects of Sustainability

Sustainability is one of the core components of our corporate strategy. We focus on four strategic aspects of sustainability:

  • Responsible corporate governance, innovation, and digital transformation
  • Employee orientation and health
  • Responsibility for the environment
  • Social commitment

Transparency through Annual Reports

The sustainability report includes an annual review and forms the basis for future target achievement. The annual reports provide transparent information on progress made in achieving these targets. We are proud to present our successes despite a number of challenges. The third current sustainability report summarizes this progress and the measures taken by BREDEX and highlights the risks and opportunities we face from a sustainability perspective.

Our most Relevant Sustainability Initiatives in 2022

  • Focus on digitization processes and targeted consulting on digitization for public sector clients
  • Complete switch to green electricity
  • Targeted training and continuing education measures
  • Cultivating our corporate culture and sharpening our mission statement
  • Supporting social initiatives and regional associations

These are just a few of the aspects we focus on in terms of sustainability and for all our employees.
