Methods
When developing the “Digital Letter,” we took an agile approach in order to respond flexibly to requirements and ensure efficient implementation. The solution was developed on AWS and uses technologies such as AWS CloudFormation and EC2 for a scalable and secure infrastructure. The NoSQL database DynamoDB was used for data management. The implementation was carried out using Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, resulting in a modern and high-performance application. Development was supported by which enabled smooth collaboration and continuous integration.
Solution
The project aims to make documents from the customer’s DMS available to end users via a cloud service. The customers to be contacted are selected automatically. The documents to be sent are marked in a database view and stored in cloud online storage by the new software component. The end user is notified by email and receives a document download link. The completed download is stored in the cloud by means of a read confirmation. The service running in the customer network actively queries the cloud for these read confirmations, enters them into the client database, and deletes them from the cloud storage. Only outgoing network connections are made from the client network.
