Test Design and Best Practices

Introduction to GUIdancer / Jubula

2-3 days onsite

In this workshop, we present the structure, concepts and components of GUIdancer or Jubula. Using your applications as examples, we explain and practise the necessary steps to work with GUIdancer or Jubula. Once the concepts have been covered, you can work with our test experts to create use cases and modules for your application so that you can use these to build well-structured tests after the workshop.

Naming conventions

1 day onsite

Naming conventions for test objects (logical names, test case names etc.) lead to improved readability and maintainability as well as increased productivity when writing automated tests. We work with your team to develop and use meaningful names for your application tests.

Business modules

1-2 days onsite

Reusability is a central aspect of GUIdancer and Jubula. Based on your application, we identify sequences which can be combined to form reusable modules for an optimal test design. We create these modules with your team according to best practices so that your test creation and maintenance are simplified and to make your automated tests more robust.

Event handlers

1-2 days onsite

What happens if your test finds an error? It certainly shouldn't be the case that a whole test fails or doesn't run because of one problem. In this workshop, we explain and implement the necessary test structure to be able to deal with errors flexibly during the test. With the addition of Event Handlers, you will always be able to receive the most information possible about your software quality, despite any errors that occurred.
