The Agenda for the Eclipse Testing Day (September 8th, Darmstadt) is now online!
We have put together an exciting program of talks which will be given by experts in the area of Eclipse and OSGi testing.
Registration for the Testing Day is now open on our Eventbrite site. We look forward to a successful day of various talks and interesting discussions!
The Eclipse Testing Day is organized by BREDEX GmbH and MicroDoc GmbH and kindly supported by the Eclipse Foundation, Xored and Testing Experience Magazine.
GUIdancer 4.2 released! (24.06.2010)
Version 4.2 of GUIdancer is now available for download.
Highlights of the new release include support for applications written with Eclipse 3.6 (Helios) as well as various new options to analyse and debug tests.

GUIdancer 4.1 released! (17.05.2010)
Version 4.1 of GUIdancer is available for immediate download.
This service release includes better support for working with very large test projects and has the added functionality of automatically taking screenshots when errors occur in tests. The new version also sees the Mac OSX support move from BETA to fully supported.

Eclipse Demo Camp
On the 21st June, we're organizing an Eclipse Demo Camp with Brox IT Solutions GmbH. The demo camp will take place in Hannover and will feature a number of demonstrations of Eclipse technology. There'll also be the opportunity to meet other Eclipse enthusiasts from the region. Further details and registration information are available on the Eclipse Wiki.
Eclipse Testing Day
The Eclipse Testing Day will take place on the 8th September in Darmstadt. The Testing Day is kindly supported by the Eclipse Foundation and is being organized by MicroDoc GmbH and BREDEX GmbH. The Call for Papers is now open and we look forward to receiving your submissions. Registration will open on the 23rd June. Further details and contact information are available on the Eclipse Wiki.
GUIdancer 4.0 released (12.04.2010)
The GUIdancer team is pleased to announce the release of version 4.0 of their award-winning test tool.
Version 4.0 of the cross-platform tool offers browser-independent HTML testing alongside the previous Swing, SWT/RCP and GEF support. The new version also contains improved reporting features to track quality in projects as well as the option to test multiple applications during one test. GUIdancer won the Eclipse Award for best commercial developer tool and EclipseCon 2010. The new version will be showcased at the Iqnite conference at the end of April. GUIdancer is available for download from the Shop pages.

GUIdancer wins Eclipse Award (23.03.2010)
In the Eclipse Community Awards 2010, GUIdancer has been chosen as the best commercial developer tool.
The Eclipse Awards take place on a yearly basis to recognize individual contributions as well as Eclipse projects and tools based on the Eclipse platform.
GUIdancer was chosen in the category for "best commercial developer tool" by a panel of judges from the Eclipse community.
BREDEX at the Agile Acceptance Testing Days (15.03.2010)
"Agile Acceptance Testing: A Case Study" is the title of the talk being given by BREDEX at the Agile Acceptance Testing Days (25th-26th March, Gent).
During the conference, there will also be a GUIdancer demo which shows how GUIdancer can be integrated into agile processes.
Eclipse get-together at Bredex (25.02.2010)
The sixth Braunschweig Eclipse get-together was held at Bredex GmbH on Wednesday 24th February.
Markus Tiede showed participants some new and old features of Eclipse which can be used on a daily basis to integrate Eclipse into a normal working day. After the talk, the get-together continued in the local restaurant Mephisto, where Ralph Müller kindly invited us for drinks.

Meet BREDEX at an an upcoming event! (17.02.2010)
Come and meet the BREDEX team at CeBIT, the Agile Acceptance Testing Days, Iqnite and at the Software and Systems Engineering Essentials, and see a sneak preview of GUIdancer 4.0!
CeBIT (2nd-6th March, Hanover):
BREDEX is teaming up with other members of the Eclipse Foundation to showcase Eclipse technologies and solutions at CeBIT 2010. Drop by the Eclipse Island, in the Open Source Park, Hall 2, booth numbers 151-154, to meet representatives from BREDEX, EclipseSource, Actuate, SOPERA and the Eclipse Foundation.
Visit the demo theater and see RAP, BIRT, and Swordfish in action, as well as products based on these Eclipse technologies such as Yoxos and GUIdancer. We'll be showing how GUIdancer can be used for both agile and traditional processes to improve quality in a time- and cost-effective way.
The BREDEX test experts will also be available to speak to on booth D38-152 on the island, and there will be a daily prize draw!

At this conference, we'll be delivering a case study on agile testing and giving a demo of how GUIdancer can be used in agile processes.

At this conference, our talk is a case study of an agile fixed-price project. You can also find us in the exhibition hall.
GUIdancer 4.0 announced
Another upcoming highlight is the release of version 4.0 of GUIdancer, which will be available at the beginning of April. The new version contains improvements to the testing of HTML applications, and also allows you to integrate GUIdancer more easily into your test process. A new perspective for test results lets you generate statistics to monitor the quality in the project. Other new features include the ability to test multiple applications during one test run, and the option to start applications outside of the GUIdancer client.
Next Eclipse get-together on 24th February (10.02.2010)
The next Braunschweig Eclipse get-together will be held on the 24th February from 7pm at BREDEX GmbH.
